A Simple Composition
a gentle reminder to myself
That first note
warm sunlight
a soft smile
Steam rises from a charming mug on the kitchen table,
the morning’s light glides across the counter
casting long shadows of cups and spoons.
A window rattles in the still air,
and the hum of the fridge, steady,
welcomes a new day.
Laundry flutters on the line outside with the morning breeze
sunlight brushing every fold and crease,
time pressing into the drying cloth.
Swallow wings stir the open air
as it lands briefly on the fence
offering its sweet song.
Two people sit side by side on a worn couch,
sharing silence and a quiet smile,
hands brushing unconsciously.
A nervous laugh slips between them
as the room grows warmer, familiar, alive.
Presence becomes everything, words falling away.
A well-loved book opens again after years,
its pages whispering memories long forgotten.
Lines once overlooked now bloom with meaning.
Time reshapes all too familiar characters
as words breathe life into tucked-away corners,
and suddenly the past feels fully present.
A single idea begins, too small to notice,
folded, repeated, and layered with care.
The piece grows, gathering weight in its own tempo,
taking shape like a calm spiral,
eventually becoming alive and full,
resonating like life unfolding note by note.
and a key change!
Todo está aquí
en lo pequeño que persiste,
en la luz que se detiene,
en lo que vuelve sin ruido,
y que poco a poco
se vuelve todo.
